Unmet Need
Modern information technologies have made big data available in safety sciences, i.e. extremely large data sets that may be analyzed only computationally to reveal patterns, trends, and associations.  There are a number of approaches to compile these data sets, but in all current approaches there are challenges in how to make sense of these data.

Technical Details

JHU researchers have created a new web-based tool called REACH-across, which particularly is focused on information and details related to chemical safety.  The database and its structure was devised based on intrapolation of properties and aims to support and automate structure-based data sets.
