Hydration Monitor

Case ID:
C14361
Disclosure Date:
9/9/2016
Description:
Technology Overview
JHU researchers are developing a hydration monitor based on a spectroscopic measurement of skin. This has the potential to measure a hydration index correlating with system physiological hydration levels, as well as extra-cellular vs intra-cellular water content. This technology is amenable to translation in wearable health monitors, as well as medical devices for susceptible patients such as those with congestive heart failure.
