Employing Prior Knowledge About a Needle Artifact and Position for Increasing Temporal Resolution in Real-time MR Imaging Using Iterative Imaging Strategies such as Compressed Sensing
The technology relates to a system and method for tracking a moving needle or other object while it is being inserted into biological tissue, using improved magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques that can provide sufficiently high resolution images in real time to precisely guide the needle placement.
