Technical Details:
JHU scientists have created an inducible expression system for APC in HT-29 colorectal carcinoma cells. Using this novel inducible expression system, it was shown that APC inhibits cell growth through increased apoptosis. Details are described in the paper by Morin et al., 1996
Looking for Partners:
The cell line described can be used for testing the specificity of drugs that target the APC/?atenin pathway, a pathway inactivated in multiple forms of tumors.
