C04586: Wild-Type Amyloid Precursor Protein Yeast Artificial Chromosome Transgenic Line Py8.9
Technical Details:
Researchers at Johns Hopkins and Case Western Reserve University have generated a transgenic mouse (Py8.9) line that expresses the wild-type human Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP). This mouse was generated through the insertion of a Yeast Artificial Chromosome encompassing the entire human APP gene, thus providing all the transcriptional regulatory elements required for the correct spatial and temporal expression of APP, and the splice donor/acceptor sites necessary to generate all alternatively spliced transcripts.
