C10529: Rabbit Serum 5690: Antibodies Against Rat Lmo7

Value Proposition:

• Polyclonal antibodies against rat Lmo7

Technical Details:

Nuclear lamina is a dense fibrillar network inside the nucleus of eukaryotic cells composed of intermediate filaments (lamins) and membrane associated proteins called lamin-associated membrane proteins. The nuclear lamina provides mechanical support, regulates important cellular events such as DNA replication and cell division, participates in chromatin organization, and anchors the nuclear pore complexes embedded in the nuclear envelope. Emerin is a serine-rich nuclear membrane protein and a member of the nuclear lamina-associated protein family that mediates membrane anchorage to the cytoskeleton. Emery Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy (EDMD) is an X-linked inherited degenerative myopathy resulting from mutation in the emerin gene. Lmo7 is an emerin-binding protein that regulates the transcription of emerin and many other EDMD-relevant genes. A JHU scientist has generated Serum 5690, a polyclonal rabbit antibody against a recombinant polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 1573-1723 of rat LIM Domain Only 7 (Lmo7) .
