C10825: A Method of Digitized High Precision Multiplex Assay by Affinity Capturing for Clinical Diagnosis and Scientific Research

Value Proposition:

• High density microarray with clinical application for diagnostic purposes.
• Cost effective.
• Covers a broad range of targets.
• Has improved analytical performance with high reproducibility and low background.
• Simplifies and standardizes the data analysis using a proprietary digitized approach.
• Can be applied to custom-made microarray settings.

Technical Details:

The JHU scientists have developed a novel method for designing a “digitized” single or multiplexed assay for the detection and quantitative measurement of one or more analytes in a specimen. Multiplexed assay formats allow the simultaneous analysis of multiple tests using a single specimen in a single run. However, there are well known limitations to the current technologies, including the number of tests that can be simultaneously analyzed and the analytical performance of these assays concerning their precision, reproducibility, and usable dynamic range. In addition, standard high-density microarrays are not suitable for most clinical laboratory tests. This invention represents a cost effective approach to overcoming these limitations and has the potential to change how multiplexed assays are designed and analyzed.
