C11400: Non-invasive and Pre-Procedural Method to Create Cardiac Voltage Map

Novelty:

Pre-procedural and no-invasive method to create endocardial voltage map for catheter ablation procedure of ventricular tachycardia (VT)

Value Proposition:

Current method to create endocardinal voltage map for catheter ablation is invasive, time-consuming, and inaccurate. This invention utilizes predictive model to create anatomic voltage map based on cardiac MRI images, allowing non-invasive and accurate ablation strategy development prior to the procedure. Other advantages include:

• Shortened procedural time reduces potential complications.
• No points in the map are extrapolated through sample point averaging.
• Map accuracy is independent of catheter contact.

Technical Details:

Johns Hopkins researchers have developed non-invasive method to create cardiac voltage maps prior to catheter ablation procedure of ventricular tachycardia (VT). The method utilizes multivariate regression equations, created through extensive association between cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) scar images and regional myocardial voltage. Hence it accurately predict the voltage at each imaging sector, leading to voltage maps unique to each individuals.

Looking for Partners:
