C11587: Interactive Grants Management System

Novelty:

This System provides an electronic platform that facilitates constant interaction between the principal investigator (PI) and the grant manager.

Value Proposition:

This software system effectively streamlines the grant submission process and provides an online tool for accurate tracking and management.

• Provides electronic tracking and timeline management for administrators.
• Keeps track of infrastructure costs and team roles throughout the project.
• Automatically sends reminder emails to principle investigators.
• System provides real-time reporting and query capabilities.

Technical Details:

Johns Hopkins researchers have developed a grant management system that provides streamlined tracking of the grant submission process. The system is essentially an electronic checklist that simplifies the grant submission process by outlining timelines, infrastructure costs, and the roles of faculty and staff working on grant submissions. Grant Administrators may monitor the completion status of the grant, while principal investigators (PI’s) can keep track of specific guidelines that need to be met. PI’s can also register the personnel they plan to recruit, the expected salaries of each team member, supplies needed, and any subcontracts.

Looking for Partners:

To develop and commercialize this system as an add-on to current grant administration databases.
