software implementing algorithms for monolingual alignment

We developed a software package for performing monolingual alignment -- the task of aligning parallel sentences in the same language. It contains two parts: a Markov model for token-based alignment and a semi-Markov model for phrase-based alignment. The algorithm has implication in the application of recognizing textual entailment and question answering.
