Male urinary incontinence is a major problem, with limited viable solutions for patients. Current offerings require major lifestyle changes, do not work properly, or are not discrete. All of these factors severely decrease the quality of life for patients and can contribute to their frequent embarrassment from the condition.

 

Technology Overview

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have developed a device using shape memory alloys which allows patients to effectively contain their urine, with minimal disruptions to their everyday lives.
